Race for Relief is an annual 5K fun run that is put on by the Enactus team from Texas State University. Race for Relief has benefited many great organizations over the year's including the Make a Wish Foundation, Caritas of Austin, and True Vineyard Ministries. This great event gives everyone, in central Texas, the chance to give back to their community by participating in a friendly 5K fun run.

We live in a land of abundance and our fortunes should inspire us to help others. By donating, you are helping end homelessness and supporting local elementary schools. Together we can help ensure our schools have proper funding and get one step closer to helping end homelessness. Your participation also helps support local elementary schools in the San Marcos greater area. This year we will be hosting a festival in addition to the race! With featured bands, games, and prizes the whole family and anyone can enjoy!
Race 4 Relief is a Texas State Enactus (formerly known as SIFE) sponsored 5K event. Come out and have a great time with us while supporting a (yet to be determined) charity of which we will give a portion of the profits of this race. The remainder will go towards funding other Enactus projects, the goal of which is to focus on the triple bottom line. This entails people, profit, and planet and at the same time you can help your fellow Texas State business students go compete at our national event and hopefully bring home the gold once again!
The purpose of Race 4 Relief is to raise money for Enactus projects, help our local elementary schools, and support locale charities. This year we are benefiting Hays County Food Bank. It is critical to support foundations such as Hays County Food Bank as 1 in 7 Hays County residents are food insecure (Feeding America 2016). Another staggering fact is, 8,520 children are food insecure in Hays County (Feeding America 2016). Come out and support while helping us donate to this humble organization who helps so many of our own.
